Are you one of those users who does not wish to mess with things using the default Command Prompt? Well, this method would be really suited for you, as it allows you to do everything in the GUI mode (Graphical User Interface).

So, its easy for debugging and stuff. Easy to understand too.

What You Need:
  1. Archive Manager (WinZIP, WinRAR,Power Archiver)
  2. Formatter [Download] \ Mirror Link

Unpacking:
The very first step is to open up Formatter, which you just downloaded in the first step. Inside the Formatter, click on the “Choose File” button
Once the file browser box opens, navigate to the area where the .apk file is, and choose it
Now, in the first box write down “.rar” (without the quotes as seen in the screenshot below). After that set the name of the archive you want – it could be anything as per your liking.

Now, go back to the location where the original .APK file was located. You will now notice that there is a .rar file over there too – just right-click it and extract it.

Repack:
To repack the files, you first need to compress the files inside one .rar file. To do so, just stuff all the files in one folder, and go right-click on the main folder and choose the option that says “Add to archive” and make it into an archive
Now, open up Formatter (the one you downloaded in the first step)
Set the format field to “.apk” now, instead of “.rar” and set the name, and finally hit the huge button that says “RENAME”.

Navigate to the location where it was located, and you will see that an .apk file would have been created!
