Cotulla has been a star player where the HD2 is concerned, his work on the whole bootloader development scene helped get Android working on the HD2 earlier on in the summer of 2010, Cotulla has also worked to get Windows Phone 7 booting on the HD2 and way back when the HD2 was new he and the Dark Force Team gave us the first Hard-SPL: allowing the first custom roms for the HD2. If your a real XDA device devotee then you might also be aware of some of the other less well known projects Cotulla has worked on like porting Windows Mobile 6 to the now very old XDA2 alpine (spvm1500).
The legend that is developer ‘Cotulla’ is still hard at work using his skills to soon bring us all a fully working Android on NAND build for the ever popular and hugely versatile HTC HD2, so for those less aware of this project the aim is to run Android directly from the phones in built memory instead of the sd-card method we are currently able to use, in short it will be like the HD2 was built to run android, it will install Android over the existing Windows Mobile OS.
Reading from the HTC Italy blog post it looks like we will see a working release of aMAGLDR in the early part of Jan 2011, its going to give the HD2 a new lease of life altogether, not that it needs a refresher in any way,the HD2 has proven to be the most amazing of all devices with its super fast hardware and versatility like no other handset ever to have left the HTC factory.
Okay heres the all important video "LINK" showing the current progress of the project, thanks also to http://htc.hdblog.it/ for the story.
