A few a months ago AOL introduced Winamp for Android HTC HD2. At that time, the first release of Winamp for Android HTC HD2 is version 1.0. Like others Music Player, Winamp 1.0 offers to play, manage and sync music from our desktop to Android HTC HD2 device. Winamp for Android HTC HD2 offers a complete music management solution featuring wireless desktop sync, iTunes library import, and access to thousands of internet radio stations with SHOUTcast. But honestly, it is loose my attention because I have another music player for Android HTC HD2 such as power amp player and tune in.
The latest version of Winamp 1.1 will hit the Android HTC HD2 market this week. It brings more free music; listen to the newest releases with Full CD Listening Party. But unfortunately the Party is online only. Sad to say but it’s true; however the best thing that I like from Winamp is SHOUTcast feature. I’m using Winamp on my desktop to listen my favorite radio station, so I would glad if the Winamp for Android HTC HD2 has this capability for my Android HTC HD2 phone.
On the Winamp 1.0 for Android HTC HD2 , I can not use SHOUTcast feature because it only available for Android HTC HD2 2.2 Froyo. But the feature is now available for Android HTC HD2 2.1 Éclair. Not only that, the new features on Winamp 1.1 for Android HTC HD2 are streaming playback now powered by a new native Winamp media engine, updated SHOUTcast Featured Station List, and new Languages support for Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

However there are some reports that reported SHOUTcast feature still no work for Android HTC HD2 2.1 device. It seems Nullsoft as the Winamp developer must check again this issue to prevent Android HTC HD2 user reject Winamp for Android HTC HD2 app on their Android HTC HD2 device.
